History Emphasis
St. Michael Kabaa High School was established in 1924 by Fr. Michael Witte as a teachers' training college before transitioning into a boarding primary and intermediate school. Kabaa played a pivotal role in the establishment of Mangu High School by sending some of its early students to help lay the foundation for the new institution. Kabaa was elevated to a secondary school in 1960 and became known for its academic excellence, producing prominent alumni such as the late President Mwai Kibaki, Tom Mboya, and Archbishop Ndingi Mwana a’Nzeki.
